The Sarah Jane Adventures Season 2

The Sarah Jane Adventures figures out what show it wants to be with great success.

The Review

Here’s the scores for the stories:

The Mark of the Berserker: 10/10

The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith: 9.5/10

The Day of the Clown: 9/10

Secrets of the Stars: 8.75/10

Enemy of the Bane: 8.25/10

The Last Sontaran: 8/10

With Yasmin Paige deciding to leave the show, The Sarah Jane Adventures had to leave its original character in Maria and bring in a new character. It does so with great success, learning from what worked about Maria and the Jacksons and correcting the mistakes to create Rani and the Chandras who I dare say are an upgrade. This season is about family, and of all the stories my favorite was that of the Langers, with Clyde coming to grips that he doesn’t need his screw-up of a dad. Sarah Jane does finally meet her parents, having to accept that for her to be who she was they had to die. Finally, Luke is not swayed by Mrs. Wormwood and makes sure that Sarah Jane knows she is his family. This show keeps redefining what CBBC tv could be.

8.917/10 Believe it or not, exact same score as last season. Consistency!
